Fantasy Pets was an e-commerce site was built during 2000 to market unique, stuffed toys made from designer swimsuit remnants to the public (B2C), while allowing distributors to submit re-stock orders (B2B). When this site was setup, options for new e-commerce sites were limited. To avoid the high cost often associated with new ventures of this type, payment processing and shipping was arranged entirely through PayPal. Today far more options exist not only in how the site functions (shopping cart, inventory control, and shipping API integration with both UPS and FedEx), but also in how payment processing is handled: Google Checkout, Authorize.Net, Eurobill, and WorldPay.
