Below, in a very simplified form, are the steps someone should follow to request a quote:

1. Register on site
2. When registering, explain nature and type of work in the Private Message block
3. Return to site, after activation notice, to begin discussion on the nature of what you want us to do

Keep in mind, always, that we have never charged anyone a fee to simply talk about a project! We have learned to insist upon this method of private project discussions, as it helps to document - from the outset - who has said what, when it was said, and if any sort of promises (time lines, deadlines, etc. ) have been made. Summaries of other interactions (face-to-face meetings, phone conversations, etc.) will be posted as they occur.

This private, yet open record about a project helps reduce delays, control costs, and minimize confusion amongst all involved. Each person can choose their own notification preferences about new postings that would appear in the project group. At present these include: simple (notice displayed upon log-in), plain-text e-mail (default), and news feed (RSS).

When we receive such a registration, a private project discussion group is created on our site. In most cases this group is totally invisible to others as only those belonging to it will see any indication of it. Those wishing to join such a group should provide its name and lead contact info through a private message upon Registration. Needless to say, such request are verified before they would be approved. In this way, the group here acts like a virtual meeting room for those involved in a given project. These aspects lend themselves to greatly increased privacy and security, especially for files that are shared. Files, themselves, are never sent out by e-mail so the need for encryption is almost eliminated. Furthermore, sensitive files can be removed from the server quite easily once others who need them have gotten a copy. Even better is how issues relating to e-mail message blocks are eliminated, as the originals stay on the site until removed.

Our entire Rewards Program, is also connected to the account created during registration. This program offers points to anyone registered on our system that can be used to offset future development costs. Registration is a must, so that we can track outgoing Invitations, etc. These are just a few of the more important reasons as to why we insist upon registration and use of our private project discussion groups.
